Gene Smith, the township supervisor is chief executive officer of the township, chairman of the township board of trustees, supervisor of general assistance, and treasurer of all town, cemetery and road & bridge funds. Gene is a life long resident of Morton and a former Morton business owner. He has been supervisor since 1997.
